Lots of Paper

Learning Target: 
  • I can describe lift and drag in wings/blades.
HOWLs Target:
  • I ask questions to understand what we are doing has to do with wind turbines and whirligigs.
Agenda
  • Warm-up: PAPER STRAW (2min)
    • Take half a piece of paper and roll it up to make a tube (about large straw size).
    • Tape ~7inches of newspaper to the end.
    • See example in the front of the room.
  • Bernoulli’s Principle and lift
  • wings
  • moving dots
  • but what about drag?
