  • I take initiative by figuring out what I want to work on and getting started.
Agenda
  • Warm-up: TRANSFERS (2min)
    • How does energy change through a battery powered flashlight (see board for diagram)? Identify the types of energy and where they occur in order of when they happen.
  • Rube Goldberg machines
  • Project
    • Develop a plan for a Rube Goldberg machine
      • must have 6 energy transfers
      • must have 4 different types of energy
      • must have 1 form of "lost" energy
      • must have descriptions of the transfers and energies that demonstrate general understanding of the types of energy
      • must have a description of how the machine demonstrates the law of conservation of energy
      • instead of Goldberg machine, use another system such as nuclear power plant, or pencil sharpener
